Terms of Service
Effective date: April 25, 2026
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the company and users in relation to the use of the coffee cupping session platform service provided by SLRP (the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the platform operated by SLRP for creating, recruiting for, running, and recording coffee cupping sessions.
- "User" means any member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Host" means a user who creates and operates a cupping session.
- "Participant" means a user who applies to join a session created by a host.
- "Paid session" means a cupping session for which a participation fee is set.
- "Seller" means a user who sells, or expresses an intent to sell, goods through any product brokerage or transaction-matching feature introduced in the Service in the future.
- "Buyer" means a user who orders, or expresses an intent to purchase, goods through any product brokerage or transaction-matching feature introduced in the Service in the future.
- "On-platform transaction" means a transaction completed through the Service’s ordering, payment, evidence submission, dispute intake, and settlement procedures.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)
- These Terms take effect by being posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
- The company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable laws, and will give notice at least 7 days in advance of any change, or 30 days in advance for changes to material matters.
- If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, the user may stop using the Service and withdraw their membership.
Article 4 (Use of the Service and Membership Registration)
- Registration and login are performed via an email-based magic link or a 6-digit OTP.
- To register, users must agree to the Terms of Service, the collection and use of personal information, and confirmation that they are at least 14 years old.
- Consent to receive service news and event information is optional; users may register and use the basic Service without giving such consent.
- Users must enter accurate information about themselves and bear any disadvantage resulting from entering false information.
- Only one account may be created per email address.
- Users under the age of 14 may not register until a legal-guardian consent procedure is in place.
Article 5 (Obligations Related to Hosting Cupping Sessions)
- A host running a paid session must use coffee beans that have been formally imported and cleared through customs in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Korea.
- By checking the customs-clearance consent checkbox when creating a session, the host confirms compliance with the obligation above.
- The Service is a session brokerage platform, and legal responsibility for the legality of the beans rests with the host.
- The basic session participation fee is fixed at KRW 5,000, and this amount accrues to the Service as revenue.
- Free plan users may create one session per month at no cost, and the usage count is not restored if a session is cancelled.
Article 6 (Participation Fee Payment and Refunds)
- Session participation fee payments are processed through Tosspayments.
- After payment is completed, a refund may be requested until the session begins; refund criteria follow the Service policy and the session type.
- If a session is cancelled, participants are entitled to a full refund.
- No host settlement arises for standard basic sessions; separate settlement may be available only for the amount of a Premium session exceeding KRW 5,000.
Article 7 (Subscription Plans)
- The Service offers Free, Pro Host (KRW 31,900/month), and Pro Participant (KRW 14,500/month) plans.
- A subscription plan is valid for one month from the payment date; paying for the same plan again extends it by one month from the current end date.
- When a Pro plan is cancelled, the current plan remains in effect until the end of that month and is not downgraded immediately.
- A full refund is available if the plan is unused within 7 days of the payment date.
Article 8 (On-Platform Transaction Principles and Prohibition of Off-Platform Dealing)
- If the Service provides product brokerage, seller-buyer matching, or ordering features in the future, sellers and buyers may not conduct their first transaction with a counterparty matched by the Service outside the Service.
- A seller must not conduct or induce, outside the Service, any repeat transaction with a buyer first matched through the Service that takes place within 12 months of the first transaction date or the first order confirmation date.
- A seller must not provide or request a phone number, email, messenger ID, bank account number, or separate payment method in order to induce off-platform dealing. However, offline meetings, sample checks, and physical inspections within the scope expressly permitted by the Service are excepted.
- A buyer may meet a seller matched by the Service offline or inspect goods, but procedures related to ordering, payment, evidence submission, dispute intake, and settlement—which require platform protection and preservation of transaction records—must be carried out within the Service.
- If off-platform dealing is confirmed or reasonably suspected, the company may claim an amount equivalent to its fees or comparable damages, withhold settlement, restrict account use, delete listings, and restrict future use of the Service.
- Buyers understand and agree that payment-record verification, dispute intake, transaction-evidence verification, and protection and support under platform policy are available only for on-platform transactions, and that the company bears no protection or brokerage responsibility for transactions concluded or performed separately outside the Service.
Article 9 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in the following conduct:
- Stealing another person’s information or registering false information
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
- Using the Service for unlawful purposes
- Speech or conduct that offends or defames other users
- A host verbally abusing, insulting, harassing, or discriminating against participants while running a session
- A host giving materially false or exaggerated information about session details, participation fees, refund criteria, the beans provided, or how the session is conducted
- A host causing serious harm to participants in relation to safety, hygiene, payment, refunds, or settlement
- Infringing the Service’s intellectual property rights
- Concluding or inducing a direct transaction outside the Service with a counterparty matched by the Service
Article 10 (Report Intake and Sanctions)
- A participant may report operational violations—such as a host’s prohibited conduct, safety issues, false information, or payment/refund abuse—in a session they joined, via the in-service reporting feature or a channel designated by the company.
- Upon receiving a report, the company may investigate the facts by reviewing the session status, participation and attendance records, payment/refund information, the report’s contents, the host’s explanation, and other necessary materials.
- Depending on the investigation results, the company may take necessary measures such as warnings, restrictions on creating or editing sessions, settlement holds, account-use restrictions, making a session private or deleting it, and restrictions on re-registration.
- Users must not submit false materials during a report or investigation, or abuse the reporting feature in a manner that infringes the rights of others.
Article 11 (Suspension of Service Provision)
- Service provision may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, natural disasters, or other unavoidable causes.
- The company is not liable for damages caused by service suspension unless there is intent or gross negligence.
Article 12 (Disclaimer)
- The Service acts as a brokerage platform for transactions between users and the operation of cupping sessions, and bears no legal responsibility for the legality of session content or the quality and safety of the beans.
- Responsibility for the reliability and accuracy of information, materials, and facts posted by a user within the Service rests with that user.
- The company provides record retention, dispute intake, and transaction-verification support under Service policy only for on-platform transactions, and bears no responsibility for transactions agreed or performed separately outside the Service.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)
If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms, the company and the user shall resolve it through good-faith consultation; if no agreement is reached, the competent court shall be the court determined under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
